John

John was an honor student at the Rhode Island School of Photography. After graduating in 1981, he was on staff at the Winona School of Professional Photography in Winona Lake, Indiana where he ran their color lab. After returning to his home in Connecticut, he became a full-time professional photographer, opening his own studio in Stratford in 1986 and establishing an excellent reputation for creative commercial photography along with a less traditional approach to weddings and portraiture. As his reputation grew he became a much sought-after wedding photographer photographing weddings from California, England and the Caribbean to the Rainbow Room in Manhattan and the mansions of Newport. His photographs have been featured in publications such as Modern Bride, In-Style and Elegant Bride and his clients range from "the girl next door" to the "rich and famous". During his brief involvement (3 years) with the Professional Photographers Association he garnered Photographer of the Year (3 yrs), Wedding Album of the Year (3 yrs), the Gemini Cup and a Kodak Gallery Award. Even though he no longer competes, John enjoys pushing the "creative envelope" in his work, much to the delight of his devoted clients.

John has a reputation as a good-natured and highly creative wedding photographer. He believes in keeping photography fun for his clients while maintaining an "all business" attitude in his work.

Patricia

Patricia is one of the core members of Prestige/Barkley, having starting work there over eleven years ago. Formerly the art director for a large graphic design firm, she heads our graphic design department and either does or oversees staff members for digital imaging work as well as retouching and hand coloring of images. Her friendly face is usually the first one you will see at Prestige/Barkley as she most often handles any wedding inquiries. She is always ready to help you with any questions regarding photography or anything else regarding your wedding for that matter. Our clients find her years of experience invaluable during the Planning stages of their weddings and her "big sister" attitude is comforting to many of our brides. Patricia often forms part of the photographic team at our weddings, acting as art director/photography coordinator. She does, however, occasionally pick up a camera to surprise us all with a great shot! Her favorite format is black & white infrared film.

Patricia is most appreciated by our clients for her calming demeanor and her creative posing. As with all our staff, her great sense of humor keeps everyone smiling.

TODD

Todd has been an important member of the Prestige/Barkley team since 1993. A consummate professional, Todd exudes confidence and capability. Even in the often frenzied atmosphere of a wedding, he never seems to get ruffled! After receiving his BA at Central Connecticut State University, he graduated first in his class at the Hallmark Institute of Photography where he received the "Outstanding Academic Achievement" award. Since then he has pursued a full-time career as a professional photographer working both in commercial photography and in wedding/portraiture. His commercial clients include some of the largest and most prestigious companies in New England and his wedding photography is done exclusively for Prestige/Barkley. For the past several years, Todd has been working for Martha Stewart as her still photographer at her television studio in Westport, CT. One of Todd's weddings was featured in "CT Wedding" not long ago as part of their "real weddings" column. In spite of his background of high level achievements, Todd always has a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone, which makes it such a pleasure (not only for us) but also our clients to work with him.

Everyone enjoys working with Todd. He is easy going and calm in even the most trying of times.
